As of yesterday, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said the country has enriched 24 tons of uranium. At the same time, President Hassan Rouhani has penned a letter seeking to have better relations with Britain's new prime minister. He hopes that the countries will have a better relationship under Boris Johnson's leadership.
This letter comes in the wake of recent tensions between Iran and Britain. Iran seized a British-flagged tanker in the Strait of Hormuz this month after the British navy helped seize an Iranian supertanker loaded with crude oil near Gibraltar.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has penned an open letter to Britain's new prime minister, saying he hopes the countries' diplomatic ties will be stronger under Boris Johnson's leadership.
Rouhani in the letter, congratulated Johnson on becoming prime minister. He hopes during his tenure as prime minister, Johnson will work towards "further deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations."
