Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui is one of the most versatile players in the Manchester United backline. The arrival of former United gaffer Ruben Amorim at AC Milan means the 28-year-old has suddenly become a star with a potential future outside the club this summer!

Ruben Amorim loved working with Mazraoui at Old Trafford and believes the African full-back can do wonders for him at AC Milan as well. The former Ajax and Bayern Munich star is contracted to United until 2028 — meaning there is no pressure on the club.

"Mazraoui switched representation to Panthera during the transfer window, which has indicated his intention of a move away from Old Trafford. A move to Milan would still make sense from the player’s perspective. Amorim already understands his qualities and could potentially offer him a clearer role within his preferred system," CaughtOffside said in a report.

However, given Mazraoui's incredible stamina, work rate, and versatility, the fact that Manchester United have not categorically turned down the proposition has surprised many. This indicates that the club is open to selling the Moroccan if a financially intriguing offer lands, reports said.

While Mazraoui is in his prime, he has recently hinted that he dreams of pursuing a spiritual path. Religion is clearly a priority over football for him, and while on international duty, he clearly hinted that he doesn't dream of extending his career well into his 30s or 40s, as his heart wants to study the Quran better.

But this doesn't mean he will hang up his boots in a couple of years. Unless the offer from AC Milan is not on par with United's expectations, they can still keep their full-back and offer him a new contract. Mazraoui started United's Premier League season opener against Hull City, which Michael Carrick's team lost 2-0.

AC Milan, meanwhile, defeated Torino 2-1 in their opening fixture.
