Eduardo Camavinga intends to remain at Real Madrid and actively vie for his spot in the squad, according to football journalist Fabrizio Romano. Despite being monitored by Manchester United and other clubs, Camavinga's primary objective is to reignite his career with the Spanish giants. He has reportedly expressed a desire to work with the current manager and is confident in earning their trust throughout the season. While Real Madrid might not view him as unsellable, Camavinga's stance is clear: he wants to stay.

He has reportedly expressed a desire to work with the current manager and is confident in earning their trust throughout the season. While Real Madrid might not view him as unsellable, Camavinga's stance is clear: he wants to stay.

Eduardo Camavinga wants to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid instead of agreeing to a move to Manchester United or anywhere else, noted football journalist Fabrizio Romano said in a report.

Real Madrid are not considering France international Eduardo Camavinga an untouchable member of their squad. However, Camavinga, who can also operate as a left-back, is interested in relaunching his career under José Mourinho. He is confident that he can win over the trust of the experienced manager in the course of the season.

“Camavinga wants to continue at Real Madrid and wants to play for Real Madrid next season,” TeamTalk quoted Romano as saying on his YouTube channel.

Manchester United have been tracking the Real Madrid duo of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Camavinga for some time now. The club is on the lookout for a third midfielder but is not willing to break the bank for him, no matter how influential or incredible the player may be. Thus, the French duo were actively tracked by the Red Devils.

Ahead of talking with the agents of AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné, United had spoken to Camavinga's agents as well, Romano said.

“Manchester United had conversations with the agents of Camavinga to understand the situation of the player, and they did the same with Manu Koné a few days, weeks ago.

Will Real Madrid retain Camavinga?

“So, Man United are still looking for a defensive midfielder.

“But, as I always told you on Camavinga, the only way to get Camavinga, whether it’s Man Utd or any other club, is to get a green light from the player.

“And, at the moment, the message coming from Camavinga, and it’s the same, May, June, July, is that Camavinga wants to work under José Mourinho and then try to stay at Real Madrid, try to revive his career at Real Madrid.

“So, Camavinga doesn’t want to leave Real Madrid. He wants to stay."

However, it is not known if Mourinho wants the midfielder or not. If Real Madrid want to offload the player, then it is a different situation altogether, Romano said. If Camavinga's exit becomes certain, the Premier League could well become his next destination and United may acquire the status of a frontrunner.

As per Romano, it is almost certain that Real Madrid will not make a decision on their player before the transfer deadline is near.
