On Sunday (October 19), former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to social media for revealing a WhatsApp chat that with anonymous person who was posing to be Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa. The person had his WhatsApp account named as 'Zampa' but the screencast shows that it is a UAE-based mobile number.
While Ashwin hasn't claimed anything, it seems like it was a chat to his mobile number and he possibly wanted to have share the laughs on social media. The legendary spinner just posted the screencast with a series of laughing emojis as the caption.
In the chat, the person asks Ashwin for the contact number of six Indian cricketers - Abhishek Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube and Jitesh Sharma. There was also a voice called attempted on the number. Few hours later, Ashwin replies in his trademark witty way.
"Sending this list shortly. Are these enough?" asks Ashwin with a clear tone of sarcasm. When the person replies with a 'Yes Bro', Ashwin gives another humourous reply.
"Do you have Dhoni's number? Or lost that too?" asks Ashwin.
To this, the user's response is surprising for all those who saw the post. The person replies that he does have Dhoni's contact number and when Ashwin asks him to share it, a contact number saved as 'MS Dhoni cricketer' is sent to Ashwin and the anonymous person asks the 39-year-old to send all the contacts of cricketers that he has with him.
"Compiling in excel. Preparing it for you," Ashwin replies.
The screencast only shows till this point of the chat. The post went viral on X due to the sarcasm levels and users were seen having a good time interacting on it.
The major questions that people have is - did Ashwin share a screencast of his own WhatsApp chat? If so, how did his number get leaked? Did the anonymous person send the original number of MS Dhoni to Ashwin?
