Captain Alyssa Healy slammed her second successive hundred in Women's ODI World Cup 2025 was the cornerstone of Australia's ruthless ten-wicket decimation of Bangladesh in Vizag on Thursday (October 16). With this win, the Aussies became the first team to qualify for the semifinals.
Australia's final two league games are in Indore where they face England (October 22) followed by South Africa (October 25). The results of these games will determine where Healy's girls finish on the points table and with that, their semifinal venue.
While Healy peppered the bowling through her 77-ball 113, fellow opener Phoebe Litchfield also had a field day during her 72-ball 84. The duo's antics saw the Aussies finishing the chase with more than half the overs left.
Here are some of the major records witnessed during this game.
Second-most ODI WC hundreds
Alyssa Healy now has four ODI World Cup hundreds, level with Suzie Bates, Charlotte Edwards and Janette Brittin at second spot for the most centuries in ODI World Cups.
Successive WC hundreds double
This is the second time that Alyssa Healy has registered successive ODI hundreds in a World Cup - the first women's player to achieve this feat.
Second fastest ODI WC century
Healy took 73 balls for her century, making her the second-fastest in women's ODI World Cup history, behind Deandra Dottin who took 71 balls against Pakistan at Leicester in the 2017 edition.
Domination in ten-wicket wins
Australia have eight victories by ten-wicket margins in Women's ODI World Cups, the next best being England with 3. Four of the highest totals in ten-wicket wins are also by Australia with this game against Bangladesh ranking second in the list.
