Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are among the teams interested in signing former Manchester United captain Harry Maguire. If the deal goes through, the big English defender would once again team up with Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the captain of Al Nassr.
Former Leicester City centre-back Maguire's current Manchester United deal runs out in 2026. Although the club have the option to extend his contract beyond next summer, they are unlikely to do so, English media reports said. When he made a move to Old Trafford in 2019 for £80 million, it made Maguire the most expensive defender in football history at that time, surpassing Virgil van Dijk’s £75 million move to Liverpool. Reports claimed that he was earning £190,000 per week when he signed.
He has made around 268 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists. Across his Premier League tenure with United, he has managed 62 clean sheets and over 1,000 clearances. His debut season saw him quickly appointed club captain in January 2020, before Bruno Fernandes took over.
According to reports, apart from Al-Nassr, RSL's Al-Ettifaq have expressed interest in the 32-year-old. Maguire is confirmed of a hefty paycheck if he secures a move to the Middle East.

"I'm pretty sure the club have made it aware this summer that I can't leave the club on any terms with other clubs enquiring about my things and my position with my contract. I'm sure over the next few months they'll sit down and we'll have to have a conversation about where we want to go and if they want to extend, or obviously the transfer window will open again in January," English media had earlier quoted him as saying.
"Obviously, I have something in my mind about what I want to do and what I want to be. I don't want to put it out there to everybody, but it's an amazing club to play for and you'd be silly if you wanted to jump out of it as soon as you could," Maguire reportedly added.
