How many games will injured Trent Alexander-Arnold miss for Real Madrid? Muscle injury means right-back to miss Madrid derby, El Clasico

The stage was set for Trent Alexander-Arnold's return to Liverpool with Real Madrid, but the injury means there is a chance that he might not be able to play at the Anfield for Xabi Alonso

Real Madrid stopped short of releasing an exact return date for right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold who suffered a hamstring injury during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match against Olympique Marseille. Dani Carvajal had to replace the English wingback in the fifth minute of the game after Trent went down.

Real Madrid confirmed that the former Liverpool star has suffered an injury setback which appears to be a hamstring issue and could keep him out for around one month. By the looks of it, it seems highly unlikely that "TAA" will have to sit out for a longer period. "After the tests carried out today on our player Trent Alexander-Arnold by Real Madrid’s Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris of his left leg. Pending evolution," the official statement released by the club said.

The injury means Alexander-Arnold will miss the Madrid derby later this month for sure while El Clásico and a possible return to Anfield in the European competition in late October and early November remains doubtful. Until then, Xabi Alonso will have to use either Raul Asencio, David Alaba, or even Fede Valverde as backup options for Dani Carvajal.
