Marcus Rashford is coming to terms with the reality as his chances of becoming a Barcelona player this summer appear unlikely. Hansi Flick's Barcelona reportedly prefer Liverpool's Luis Diaz over the 27-year-old Manchester United winger, and the Englishman's willingness to take a significant pay cut is unlikely to alter that. At best, Barcelona may offer a season-long loan, but United are unlikely to encourage another such deal as they wish to spend the money from selling Rashford on the ongoing squad overhaul.
Rashford was reportedly open to becoming Robert Lewandowski's backup at Camp Nou, but the way talks are heading signals that Barcelona are not convinced. However, other clubs are still interested in signing the Manchester United academy graduate, who finally seems to have started seeing things as they are.

A report claimed that the Turkish Süper Lig may see Jhon Duran partner Marcus Rashford this coming season. Rashford was contacted by his former manager, Jose Mourinho, now in charge of Fenerbahce, who explained his project over the phone, and the attacker seems impressed. Rashford, who has represented Manchester United 297 times to date, has greenlit a switch to Turkey, TeamTalk said in a report. The Istanbul side's sporting director, Devin Ozek, will soon board a flight to England later this week to meet Rashford and his employers, the report added.
If the deal goes through, Fenerbahce could use two former teammates of Cristiano Ronaldo up front, as they have already sealed the signing of Jhon Duran from Al-Nassr. While Rashford and Ronaldo were teammates at United, Durán has made a return to Europe after spending six months in Saudi Arabia. Interestingly, Mourinho has also worked with Cristiano Ronaldo during their time at Real Madrid.
While it is certain that Marcus Rashford will have to take a significant pay cut to play under José Mourinho, there have been no concrete confirmations on how much money Manchester United will demand as his transfer fee from Fenerbahce.
