Luis Enrique-coached Paris St Germain (PSG) outgunned Inter Milan 5-0 on Saturday in Munich to become the champions of Europe for the first time. The French powerhouse was the biggest beneficiary of the UEFA Champions League's new format as they came back from the verge of an early exit to an emphatic final victory.

Ousmane Dembele was named Champions League Player of the Season by UEFA while Desire Doue was named Champions League Young Player of the Season. PSG will have to postpone their extended celebrations as the FIFA Club World Cup is fast approaching. All teams are busy bringing in reinforcements and the story is no different for the Parisians. They are no longer interested in signing superstars but have rightly switched their focus on building a squad with greater team harmony. The UCL glory is expected to give them a push in the transfer market as potential recruits may consider the reigning European champions over others.

Here are five PSG transfer rumours that football enthusiasts will love to follow as another summer transfer window approaches:

FRANCO MASTANTUONO: Scouted by the likes of Real Madrid in the recent past, PSG is almost certain to bring River Plate's teenage midfielder to Paris ahead of the upcoming season. However, several other European giants are still sniffing around, hoping to pounce on any potential cracks in the talks.

Mastantuono's current contract includes a €41 million release clause, which is not a concern for the Parisians. The left-footed attacking midfielder is also effective when deployed as a deep-lying midfielder as well as a winger. He is good at exploiting spaces between the opposition's defensive lines and can cut inside to strike lethal shots at goal. He is also skilled at set-piece taking, dribbling, and losing his marker.

LUCAS CHEVALIER: Gianluigi Donnarumma refused to give a straightforward answer when asked about his future in Paris following the Champions League triumph. He said he is going to enjoy his vacation and then consider his future. LOSC Lille's 23-year-old goalkeeper Chevalier is being targeted by PSG as their "number one" priority for the position. The Frenchman was Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year for the 2024–25 season and is known for his temperament and ability to slow down the game in his team's favor. Chevalier's current contract with Lille runs until 2027, and his market value is estimated at €30 million.

BERNARDO SILVA: Amid rumours of a move to Ligue 1, Silva signed a new Manchester City contract last summer that is valid until 2026. Interestingly, the English heavyweights had seen Désiré Doué as an apt replacement for Silva in their midfield. However, the teenager has since become a superstar thanks to his role in the European triumph and has earned the "untouchable" tag at Parc des Princes. With Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz, and Silva's younger international teammate Jesus Neves in red-hot form, it remains to be seen if the team will still pursue the 30-year-old.

VICTOR OSIMHEN: Nigerian forward Osimhen was a beast in the Turkish league after joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli. He is unhappy at Naples and is almost certain to leave for a mouth-watering sum. Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United—both struggling due to a lack of firepower up front—have emerged as front-runners to sign Osimhen. However, PSG is also in the picture as the race for the 26-year-old heats up.

Napoli has attached a €75 million release clause to Osimhen’s current contract, which runs until June 2026 with the option of a one-year extension.

KEITA KOSUGI: Swedish side Djurgårdens IF’s Japanese left-back, 19-year-old Keita Kosugi, has impressed decision-makers at Celtic. While the Scottish club wants him to be the next Kieran Tierney, PSG believes he has the potential to be Nuno Mendes’ deputy. Serie A’s Atalanta are also interested in pursuing the Asian star, who amazed many during his team’s daring Conference League semifinal run this season.
