Barcelona or Paris Saint Germain? If some media reports are to be trusted, Liverpool's Colombian winger Luis Diaz has made up his mind. The 27-year-old is more interested in a move to La Liga than joining the largely unchallenged PSG set-up at the French league, media reports said.
A viral part of Jurgen Klopp's plans for the ongoing campaign, Luis Diaz seems uninterested to stay at Anfield under a new manager although his current contract will expire only in 2027. German Klopp has already announced that he will be leaving the Liverpool job this summer.
Barcelona, whose financial issues are no secret, is in the hunt for three or four world-class recruits to reemerge as a dominating side in the European circuit. Liverpool is likely to demand an amount between €120-€145 million for Diaz from the La Liga side, Goal.com said in a report. Barcelona did want to secure the signing.
Earlier, French powerhouse PSG were named the frontrunner to get Diaz's signature as they were hellbent on bringing him on board in the post-Mbappe era. The asking price is no problem for the Ligue1 leaders, which is among the richest clubs in Europe.
Diaz, who admires FC Barcelona, considers it a dream to play for them, his father reportedly told the press. "The truth is that I know very little about Barcelona at the moment. It is true that Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan and it would be his dream to go there," Luis Manuel Diaz reportedly told Win Sports.
