Asked to write a biographical note on Lionel Messi in her annual Malayalam paper exam, Class 4 student Riza Fathima chose to remain defiantly loyal to Brazil, putting good grades at risk. Her answer, stating her steadfast loyalty to Brazil and her love for Neymar, has gone viral on social media.
The question paper had a photo of the Argentina football in the middle with clues including his name, details of his parents, career highlights and achievements.
Prepare a biographical note of renowned footballer Lionel Messi was the question.
"I will not write," wrote Riza of Tirur Sastha LP School, Puduppalli.
"I am a Brazil fan. I love Neymar. I don't like Messi," wrote Riza.
However, it is not known if her answer was accepted by the teachers and rewarded with any marks.
Her teacher had shared her answer sheet on the social media.
"My teacher asked why I wrote like it. I just jotted down what was on my mind. I will not do otherwise. I watch when Neymar is playing. But I am not a fan of Messi. I had made up my mind the moment I saw his photo on the question paper," Riza told Manorama News.
