Sadio Mane fired Senegal into the African Cup of Nations final as the side beat giant-killing Burkina Faso 3-1. Senegal makes it their third continental final thanks to goals from Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye and Sadio Mane.

Senegal had two penalties overturned by the video assistant referee. After a goalless first half, Diallo and Gueye scored in quick succession before Blati Toure halved the lead.

Mane would then score his 29th goal in a Senegalese shirt with a delightful chip three minutes from the end of regulation time. He is now level with Henri Camara on the nation’s list of top goalscorers.

Senegal will play either Egypt or hosts Cameroon in the final on Sunday. The other semifinal will be played tonight. It gives Egypt’s Mohammed Salah a chance to face off against his Liverpool teammate Mane in the final.

Senegal are the highest ranked side in Africa. They are 20th in FIFA's global rankings.
