Team India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who made a return to the squad for the recently cancelled ODI series against South Africa, revealed some cheeky instances from his personal life, one in particular which involved his wife Nupur Nagar. He had recently appeared on a chat show Spicy Pitch, in which he disclosed that he hasn’t used Facebook since his wife hacked into his account!

Describing Bhuvneshwar as a silent, but mischievous cricketer, the episode of Spicy Pitch featuring the pacer and his wife showed them in a candid tete-a- tete with the host Manish Batavia.

In the chat show, Bhuvneshwar said that his wife Nupur who gets a bit envious when he receives messages or requests for selfies with his female fans asked for the password to his Facebook account. He never gave it to her, but ended up surprised when later she told him what the password was. “She literally hacked into my Facebook account. I haven’t used it since,” he said on the show.

Apart from this amusing instance, Bhuvneshwar and his wife spoke about his debut for India against Pakistan in 2012, about their romance, how they like to play games and pull each other’s legs among other things. He married Nupur in November 2017.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been out of action for Team India since he sustained a sports hernia injury last year. He was recently included in the squad for the South Africa ODI series, but after the first match in Dharamsala was washed out, the series was cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus. Sports events across the world have been hit since the COVID-19 pandemic started spreading at an alarming rate.
