The Indian Under-19 team carried on in its rich vein of form, beating New Zealand U-19 team by 44 runs (D/L method) in a rain-affected match at the U-19 World Cup, in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

With their third win in as many matches, India entered the quarterfinals of the tournament, as table-toppers in Group A.

India were sitting pretty at 103/0 in 21 overs when rain intervened. After a lengthy spell of shower, when play finally resumed, the match was reduced to a 23-overs-a-side affair. India managed to add 12 runs more in the next two overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was unbeaten on 57, while fellow opener Divyaansh Saxena was not out on 52.
