In a recent interview to a leading English daily, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar remembered how South African pacer Dale Steyn kept him and Gautam Gambhir on the edge for almost an hour.

The incident occurred in 2011 at Cape Town when India were playing South Africa. Sachin and Gambhir were on the field facing an in-form Steyn, who made batting so challenging for the Indian duo that the pair couldn't rotate their strike for over an hour!

Sachin, who has always been an admirer of the South African, had in a recent tweet wished him luck for the future after Steyn announced his retirement from international cricket. In his tweet he mentions how Steyn always made batsmen bring their A-game to the ground.

Having faced some of the world's finest bowlers during his stellar career, Sachin regards Steyn as one the most different for being able to swing the ball at speeds over 150 kmph. Steyn's speed along with his capability to swing the ball both ways at those speeds is what set him apart, said Sachin in the interview.

Dale Steyn called curtains on his international test cricket stint with 439 wickets from 93 test matches.
