Sponsored: Who will win IPL 2019?

The bet is on Chennai Super Kings to defend their title

Who will win IPL 2019?

A fair question, but answering it in all fairness is very tricky. Let’s start with the probable venue of the next IPL. There have been talks about IPL 2019 taking place out of India due to the upcoming general elections, during which there are high chances of public violence. Twice in the past, the tournament’s been played overseas for the very same reason. In 2009, it was played in South Africa and in 2014, a part of it was played in UAE.

Last year, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their chance of getting into the finals of the tournament to Chennai Super Kings. They must be waiting to avenge their failure of the last season. Although Mark Wood is a great edition, the team’s bowling is not strong enough. Sunrisers Hyderabad has David Warner, a wounded lion who will be hungry for runs. He needs to prove himself to the world again.

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have been the most successful teams in the tournament, winning three titles each. Chennai Super Kings are the current title-holders. Most of the punters have set their eyes on Chennai Super Kings, but the team does have many weaknesses as well. Though Dhoni and Bravo are phenomenal players, they aren’t as energetic as they used to be. Chennai Super Kings have a great leader in Dhoni, but the team’s dependency on the performances of Jadeja, Bravo, and Rayudu will be vital, along with the trump card, Shane Watson.

The Mumbai Indians were disappointing in IPL 2018 by not making it into the qualifier. Many punters are highly anticipating them to win IPL 2019. The top batsman and bowler in the team are Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Krunal Pandya is a player to watch out for this season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are building a strong team for the IPL season. The team has not won a trophy yet but they are desperately working towards the goal. The absence of AB De Villiers might hurt them but Chahal’s bowling may become their asset. The head coach Daniel Vettori has a great squad to work with. Royal Challengers Bangalore has many young talents who want their chance to prove their mettle in the tournament; that is the biggest weapon in their artillery.

Keeping those factors in mind, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to be the top title contenders for the next season. Rohit Sharma is the trump card of Mumbai Indians and has a point to prove again this season, while their biggest asset will be Bumrah’s death bowling.

The Kolkata Knight Riders are also promising title contenders for the 2019 addition of the tournament as they have consistently entered the playoffs in the past three years. They might succeed in bringing the trophy home if they get the right players from the IPL auction.

Keeping in mind all the factors that have been considered and weighed by cricket experts IPL Match Prediction 2019, our bet is on Chennai Super Kings.
