Redmi K20, K20 Pro teaser out; check launch date, price and other details

The Redmi K20 series smartphones will be available on Flipkart

Redmi will launch the much-anticipated flagship series phones Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in India on July 17, 2019, the Chinese smartphone company has confirmed. It was said that the flagship series, which was launched in China in May, would be out in India in mid-July.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be available on Flipkart from July 17. Flipkart has a separate page dedicated to the Redmi K20 series, highlighting key features of the K20 and K20 Pro such as a Snapdragon processor, AMOLED displays, AI triple cameras, pop-up camera, Aura Prime design and in-display fingerprint sensor etc.

Redmi K20, K20 Pro price

The Redmi K20, which comes with a Snapdragon 730 chipset, is likely to be priced around Rs 19,000 for the 6GB RAM+64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant would roughly be priced around Rs 20,900 and the 8GB RAM+256GB variant around Rs 25,900.

For the Redmi K20 Pro, powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, the price is likely around Rs 24,900 for the base variant of 6GB RAM+64GB storage. The 6GB RAM+128GB and the 8GB RAM+128GB variants is expected to be around Rs 25,900 and Rs 27,900 respectively. The 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is likely to be priced under Rs 30,000.


The prices are yet to be confirmed and is based on the figures the series was launched in China. In any case, the Redmi smartphones are usually priced in India in the affordable category.

Redmi K20, K20 Pro specifications

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro feature a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and screen-to-body ratio of 91.9 percent. The smartphone series also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi K20 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The Redmi K20 is powered by Snapdragon 730 SoC.

The Redmi K20 Pro also has an AI-powered triple rear camera setup with a 48-MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, a 13-MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8-MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The pop-up selfie camera has a 20-MP sensor.

The Redmi K20 also has a 48-MP primary camera , but with a Sony IMX582 primary sensor.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro come with a 4,000mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging over Type-C port along with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The K20 Pro also features a hardware DC dimming support, 960fps slow motion recording and P2i splash proof coating.
