US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Tuesday said Iran's biggest mistake was targeting its neighbours, adding that Tehran now stands alone and is badly losing.
"Today will be the most intense day of strikes against Iran," Hegseth said during a media briefing, adding that it will destroy Iran's naval assets, missiles and defence industrial base.
Claiming that Iran is "desperate and scrambling", he said the country has fired the lowest number of missiles in the last 24 hours.
Hegseth warned Tehran that if it stops the flow of oil within Strait of Hormuz, US will strike it "harder than ever".
The US war secretary alleged that Iran was firing missiles from schools and hospitals.
