Chinese satellite tech aiding Iran is ‘trap’ deterring US, claims analyst

Geopolitical analyst Brandon Weichert warns a full-scale Iran-Israel conflict could flatten major cities, citing Chinese satellite technology aiding Iran as a key deterrent for the US

If Iran attacks Israel with all its might, Tel Aviv and Haifa will be flattened, according to geopolitical analyst and author Brandon Weichert. This will cause an economic slowdown and will be a nightmare for Israel, he warned.

He outlined that the extreme scenario in which a full-scale Iranian attack   would lead to unprecedented destruction in Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Weichert, a former congressional staffer and geopolitical analyst, added that the trap that is deterring Trump is Chinese technology. “Iran's anti-ship ballistic missile system is supported by a Chinese intelligence satellite, which  can detect aircraft carriers in real time. Trump is rightly concerned about it," Weichert told Israeli media NTC News. "He knows that there are not enough air defence systems in the region to protect American bases, not Israel,” he added.

"The talks between Iran and the US are meaningless, it's a ruse,"  Weichert said, referring to reports from recent days. "In the 12-Day War,  the US and Israel used the talks to give Iran a false sense of security and then closed the trap on them," he reasoned.

Despite Weichert’s statement, his claim regarding the Chinese intelligence is yet to be confirmed by either the US or any other western intelligence.

He further said that an attack on Iran is not necessary right now  because the regime is weak and the people will eventually overcome it. “They don't need us to bomb them in order to establish democracy  there. That never works," Weichert said, adding that the US does not  have a post-war stabilisation plan for the region. “The Americans would  have a problem securing Iran in such a situation, and that Israel would not be able to assist in this matter,” he said.

Meanwhile, Israeli media claimed that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir made a  secret visit to Washington over the weekend.  Zamir's meeting with the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Kaine, was a strategic coordination meeting at the highest level, and was in regard to whether Israel would be attacked by Iran in response to a possible American attack.

The intimacy in security ties between Israel and the US is now at unprecedented levels and at all levels: the IDF, the CIA and the political echelon, according to Israeli media Ynet. Israel shares with Washington the most sensitive intelligence information it has, including details about the brutal suppression of the protest in Iran last month against the ayatollahs' regime, with the extent of the murders and the systematic massacre of the demonstrators.
