Dubai Global Village to ring in 2026 with 7 countdowns for India, other time zones

There will be 48 firework displays at 40 locations, including Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Downtown Dubai and Burj Al Arab

The UAE is a land that have provided livelihood for expatriates from various countries, including India. So on New Year's Eve, Dubai's Global Village will arrange seven countdowns to welcome 2026 as per time zones of various countries.

The guests will be able to ring in the New Year in India at 10.30 pm Gulf Standard Time (GST). Similarly, there will be countdowns to mark 2026 in China at 8 pm, Thailand at 9 pm, Bangladesh at 10 pm, Pakistan at 11 pm, UAE at 12 am and Turkey at 1 am.

On December 31, the three gates of Global Village will be open from 4pm to 2 am the next day.

There will be 48 firework displays at 40 locations, including Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Downtown Dubai, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Creek Harbour, Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai Festival City, Atlantis The Palm, Bluewaters and Expo City Dubai.

Dubai will also witness intricate drone shows organised by Global Village, JBR and The Frame.

At Downtown Dubai, the New Year celebrations will go on from December 31 to January 7. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be part of an event at Burj Park.
