It’s now the festive winter season at Global Village. Announcing the arrival of Christmas and New Year, tiny lights in vibrant colours were lit up on the giant Christmas tree at Global Village. Santa and his friends, who arrived all the way from the North Pole, officially kicked off the colourful festive nights. The Christmas celebrations at Global Village will continue until December 28. The main attraction is the 21-metre-tall Christmas tree at the centre. The tree, adorned with dazzling lights, is further beautified with gift boxes placed on it.
The celebrations began with drone show. The drones drawn various images in the sky above Global Village. Christmas symbols flashed brightly in the sky, heralding Santa’s arrival. As Santa lit the tree, fire works illuminated the sky in different shapes. Elves, the imaginary characters, joined Santa as part of the celebrations. With playful acts and dance performances alongside Santa, the elves took over the festive entertainment. Delighting the hundreds of children and families who had gathered, Santa and his friends wrapped up their performance. In the coming nights, this giant Christmas tree will become one of the main photo spots at Global Village.
For winter shopping, the Thailand and Afghan pavilions have stocked a large collection of winter jackets. The jackets come in trendy fashion designs. Trendy winter shirts are also available at the American pavilion.
