Iran’s exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last shah of Iran, has claimed that over 50,000 Iranian government and military insiders contacted him via a secure platform created by him to topple Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The platform was created last month for defectors to register and discuss campaign tactics.
“There are tens of thousands — the last estimate is over 50,000 at least, maybe more,” Pahlavi told Politico, adding that they, however, are yet to analyse the data. ”It’s an arduous process — it will take some time — but the signals are quite strong. We have received [a] tremendous […] response, and of course we are giving top priority to key elements within those designated segments that I mentioned,” he said.
The Crown Prince said he also planned to launch a separate website for ordinary Iranian citizens to register their interest in joining the national campaign against the regime.
Pahlavi has been putting himself in the forefront of the efforts to topple the Islamic regime in Iran, offering a secular government in its place. However, many deem him unfit to take on that role, especially since he has been living outside the country for the last four decades.
However, Pahlavi organised a conference in Munich on Saturday where over 500 opposition supporters, including activists, artists, and athletes of Iranian origin, took part. In the conference, Pahlavi said the fall of the Iranian regime is "inevitable" and that the time has come for national unity to overcome this regime.
The Islamic Republic has taken too many sons and daughters from their mothers.

Pahlavi addressed the Iranian Supreme Leader: "Ali Khamenei should know that his regime is unstable, that most of those around him hate him, that a large number of the Revolutionary Guards are waiting for an opportunity to escape the sinking ship of the Iranian regime, and that the majority of the people hate him and his regime," he said while warning the Supreme Leader that he was walking a "path leading to blood and fire."
At the conference, Pahlavi put forth his action plan. "First, we liberate the country, then we hold the ballot boxes, and let the Iranian people decide their own fate." He emphasised that the mission of both Republicans and monarchists is to create a space of freedom for elections and not to impose a political system. He referred to the "Iran Prosperity" project and called on political forces to unite around the transition plan. He said, "Only through solidarity can a free, secure, and prosperous Iran be built,”he said.
