Monu Sharma's death threats to Paramjeet Dhankhar at the police station came just hours before he fired 15 rounds at the ex-Tech Mahindra executive in a parking lot on Nov 6.

Fresh details have emerged in the Friday murder of ex-Tech Mahindra executive Paramjeet Dhankhar in Faridabad's Sector 21C, after the arrest of his neighbour, Monu Sharma (alias Mohan).

Paramjeet's death came after Sharma had allegedly threatened him at the police station when he had filed a complaint over the accused breaking the gate of his house.

"I will not leave you alive by tonight," Sharma had warned Paramjeet when he was summoned to the Surajkund Police Station by the Station In-charge, Naresh Kumar, in response to the complaint, PTI and local media reports said, citing police sources.

Thinking his threat was hollow, the police allegedly forged a compromise between the two sides.

Yet, the accused was allegedly allowed to leave on medical grounds, hours after which he confronted Paramjeet and his son, Shaurya, in a parking lot.

"Have you ever seen what a widow looks like? You have such great faith in God; let me send you straight to him," he allegedly said, before firing 15 rounds at the two using his licensed gun, of which nine bullets found their mark and killed Paramjeet on the spot. Shaurya, on the other hand, managed to survive.

Not a small parking lot dispute

In response to reports claiming that the murder took place over a parking lot dispute, the police said that the two families had been quarrelling for the past four years over multiple issues.

This includes Sharma's German Shepherd dog often defecating on the other family's front yard, as well as parking cars outside each other's houses.

However, the most recent dispute arose after Shaurya, the son of the deceased, allegedly confronted the accused for breaking the gate of their house, and sought repairs.

"I don't talk to pups; send your father," he had reportedly said at the time, which led to Shaurya phoning his father, and the complaint being registered at Surajkund.

His father, who is the COO of a Singapore-based FTP software company, had returned to India to attend his nephew's wedding later in November.

"Based on the complaint of Paramjeet's son Shaurya, a case has been registered against Monu Sharma alias Mohan, his wife Divya, son Mayank, daughter Naina, and brother Hetram. Paramjeet's body has been sent to the civil hospital for a postmortem. We have arrested the main accused, Monu Sharma, and are questioning him," Surajkund SHO Prahlad Singh said, as per the reports.

Sources also told PTI that Sharma was known to frequently cause a ruckus at night with his friends, and had even faced allegations of GST evasion about a year ago, at which time the GST department had conducted a raid on his premises.

"It was his habit to play loud music until late and fire shots into the air. He also owned several luxury cars, which he would drive at high speeds and with loud, revving engines through the sector's streets," they added, pointing out that at the time of the murder, he had three licensed guns in his possession, one of which was used for the murder.
