'File FIR before noon': CJP targets Delhi ACP after woman journalist accuses him of hitting on chest
Delhi Police have transferred complaints of sexual harassment filed by three women during the October 2 Jantar Mantar protest to the Crime Branch for further action
Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has publicly criticized the Delhi Police for their failure to file a First Information Report (FIR) against Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vivek Bhagat, who is facing sexual harassment allegations. An independent journalist has accused ACP Bhagat of physically assaulting her while she was filming the detention of AISA chief Neha Bora during a recent protest. The journalist claims that despite waiting for over three hours at the police station, an FIR was not registered. CJP has issued an ultimatum, demanding that the FIR be filed by noon on October 4, and has questioned the police's alleged protection of the accused officer. The Delhi Police have acknowledged receiving complaints from three women regarding sexual assault during the protest and have transferred these to the Crime Branch for a thorough investigation. This incident occurred amidst protests organized by CJP against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, which resulted in the detention of over 700 individuals.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das criticised the Delhi Police over its delay in filing an FIR against ACP Vivek Bhagat following sexual harassment allegations made by an independent journalist.
CJP has set a deadline of noon on October 4 for the case to be registered.
The journalist alleged that the ACP 'hit her on the chest' while filming the police detention of AISA chief Neha Bora during Friday's protest. She added that officers failed to register an FIR despite her waiting over three hours at the police station.
Das said that CJP leader Ratna Singh had approached the police after learning about the allegation and warned that the journalists and other protesters would return to the police station if an FIR was not filed.
"The police are adamant that they will not lodge any FIR. But we want to ask the Delhi Police why are you protecting such monster who has done sexual assault in the public view," Das said.
Why are you defending such a monster? Das asked.
He added that while police could take the necessary time to examine the video footage, an FIR must be registered by noon on October 4.
"We will ensure that this ACP Vivek Bhagat, who is a monster in his uniform, gets an FIR against him."
Meanwhile, Delhi Police said that they have received complaints from three women alleging sexual assault during the protest.
The complaints have been transferred to the Crime Branch at Kamla Market for further action, the police said.
