India said OIC's repeated endorsement of such politically motivated propaganda raises serious questions on the credibility of the organisation.
"Instead of offering a platform to Pakistan to peddle its fabricated and motivated propaganda, OIC will be better advised to counsel Pakistan... to look inwards and address the continuing threat of terrorism emanating from territories under its control," the MEA said, adding that Islamabad has a "well-documented record of supporting and sponsoring terrorism.
India asserted that the entire Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable part of the country. "No amount of politically motivated propaganda can change this reality," the ministry said.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also raised the Kashmir issue during his UNGA address. "In South Asia, it is important that all disputes, including the Kashmir issue, be addressed through dialogue within the framework of the United Nations Charter and of relevant resolutions," Erdogan said in his address on Tuesday.
The MEA's latest statement comes a day after it slammed Pakistan for its aggression against Afghanistan. "We deeply offer our condolences and precious lives lost. Such instances of aggression against neighbours go against regional peace and security," Jaiswal said. "Pakistan needs to demonstrate action and firm commitment and they must take credible action against cross-border terrorism before the world believes what they say they are going to do," he added.
