The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Thursday announced that its National Working Committee has ratified its inaugural national leadership roster, announcing office bearers of the fledgling organisation led by youth.

The decision was taken during the CJP's core team meeting at founder Abhijeet Dipke's hometown Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, where the party leaders have been holding talks since Wednesday.

Who are CJP's national office bearers?

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke is the National Convener while spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were appointed Co-Conveners.

Ajinkya Shinde was given the post of National Organisation In-Charge while Deepak Baliyan is Organisation Co-Incharge and Aafreen Nawaz is CJP's National Secretary.

Vijay Reddy Mallangi will lead the media operations and Ratna Singh will look after legal affairs. Research and Policy will be helmed by Vaishanvi Gaur and Rohan Deshpande is the Technology Lead.

The zonal leadership include Baliyan in the north, Mallangi in the south, and Yogesh Ingale in the west. The east and northeast zones will be headed by Ankit Bharadwaj.

The CJP said it will form State Coordination Committees over the next six months. Lok Sabha and city-level coordination units will also be established during this period.

It also issued a disclaimer, saying "no other persons have been named by the CJP as office bearers".

The CJP also declared that it will launch a 'Kya bolti public' campaign in September to interact with people across the country and to get to know their issues.

"Because it is the time to listen to the public. We have decided not to repeat the mistakes committed earlier. Nobody wants to talk about the expectations, dreams and hopes of Gen Z. They were dismissed," said Dipke.

The move is in line with CJP's intention to act as a pressure group and influence the country's political discourse.

"Majority of the country's population is young, who are going to run the country in future. Therefore, no policy decision should be taken without consulting them. We will undertake an exercise for stakeholders' consultation to understand their issues," he added.

He said the CJP will operate as per Dr B R Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru's vision for a developed India. "Our ideology is the same as the Constitution of India," Dipke said.
