Two labourers were shot in a suspected terrorist attack at Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Friday evening.
While the attack at a brick kiln in Kelam killed one of the labourers, the other has been injured.
Officials told PTI that both labourers had initially sustained injuries in the attack. However, one of them succumbed to his wounds before he could be transported to a hospital, while the other was referred to the GMC Hospital in Anantnag.
Following the attack, security forces rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation to track down the suspected terrorists.
This comes just days after terrorists shot dead a police officer in Anantnag.
