A Hyderabad-based businessman and his wife have been reported missing nearly three weeks after leaving for Switzerland on a holiday, with police examining allegations that the couple may have fled the country after allegedly raising nearly Rs 50 crore from multiple investors.

According to reports, Pabba Chandrasekhar (51) and his wife Swapna (42) travelled to Switzerland on June 22. The couple initially remained in regular contact with family members but became unreachable after July 8, with their mobile phones switched off.

Their daughter, Pabba Shreya, a software engineer, approached the Charlapalli Police after repeated attempts to contact her parents failed. Acting on her complaint, police registered a missing persons case and began an investigation.

Investigators are now looking into the couple’s travel history, immigration records and financial transactions. They are also coordinating with various agencies to trace their whereabouts and verify whether the couple actually travelled to Switzerland.

The probe is also examining allegations that Chandrasekhar and Swapna had collected around Rs 50 crore from more than 60 people over the past few years by promising attractive returns.

However, police have not yet registered a cheating case against the couple. The alleged financial dealings are currently being examined as part of the broader investigation into their disappearance.
