Capgemini day care centre horror: How viral video exposed jet sprays being used to scare crying kids
Children as young as two and three years were kept in washrooms and inside washing machines by the five women employees of the daycare centre, who have been served a notice by the police
In Bengaluru, the "Little Buds Day Care" facility, located on the Capgemini campus in Brookefield, is under investigation after videos surfaced online showing five female caregivers allegedly mistreating young children, including a two- and three-year-old, by locking them in a washing machine drum and spraying them with cold water from jet sprays. The caregivers, identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Bhavani, Sindhu, and Bindu, are facing legal action under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for criminal intimidation and are required to report to the police for questioning. This exposé, reportedly originating from a disgruntled former employee, has also prompted a separate complaint to the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Capgemini has issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to employee and family well-being and announced the temporary closure of the on-campus daycare facility as they cooperate with authorities to investigate the matter.

A daycare facility called ‘Little Buds Day Care’ located within the Capgemini campus in Bengaluru's Brookefield has made news for the wrong reasons. According to reports, five women caregivers of the facility are facing legal action over alleged mistreatment of children entrusted to them.
The accused were identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Bhavani, Sindhu and Bindu — under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Section 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for criminal intimidation. They have been asked to appear before the police for questioning.
Operating inside the HAL campus of Capgemini, the women reportedly assaulted the kids left in their care — mostly by IT professionals employed within the campus. The videos of such abuse hit the internet, which led to police action, and a separate complaint has been filed before the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, reports confirmed.
According to multiple reports, crying children were tortured by the staffers, who went to the extent of imprisoning children, as young as two and three years, in the drum of a front-loading washing machine. Jet sprays were used to forcefully fire cold water into their mouths, and some were locked in bathrooms, NDTV said in a report.
The video that finally exposed the staffers was shot by somebody whose friend was fired from the facility a month ago, Times of India said in a report.
Capgemini issues statement “Capgemini’s foremost priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and their families. We are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and assisting them in their efforts to establish the facts. As a precautionary measure, we are temporarily closing the Bengaluru on-campus daycare facility,” an official statement reportedly read.
