Man threatens to kill Kerala CM V.D. Satheesan; cites THIS as reason after arrest
The threats were made through calls to the Thiruvananthapuram City District Police Command and Control Centre
A man named Sony Thomas from Attingal was arrested on Saturday for allegedly making multiple threatening phone calls to the Thiruvananthapuram City District Police Command and Control Centre on Friday evening, vowing to kill the Kerala Chief Minister and his family. Police traced the calls to Thomas's phone number and took him into custody, reportedly finding him under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incidents. During the calls, the unidentified caller also verbally abused a police officer and expressed a desire for fame through the act, stating his dislike for Satheesan. Cantonment police have registered a case, and the accused is slated to be produced in court for remand.

A man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly making phone calls threatening to kill Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and his family.
The accused was identified as Sony Thomas from Atingal.
He was taken into custody after police traced his phone number, which he used to make the calls.
According to police, the caller, who did not identify himself, contacted the Thiruvananthapuram City District Police Command and Control Centre (DPCC) at around 6.50 pm on Friday and allegedly threatened to kill the Chief Minister and his family.
When questioned, the caller reportedly said that he did not 'like' Satheesan.
The accused had also allegedly made another call at 6:53 pm and repeated the threat.
The accused verbally abused the police officer who attended the call and asked whether they had made adequate security arrangements for the Chief Minister.
He also said that he wanted to be famous by killing the CM and his family.
Cantonment police registered a case and began tracking that phone number soon afterwards.
The accused Thomas was taken into custody on Saturday morning from Attingal.
The accused was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when he made the calls.
He will be produced before a court later for remand, officials said.
