Tripathi, who is a senior BJP leader, was serving as the BJP regional organisation general secretary for the Bihar-Jharkhand region.

"National president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nitin Nabin, has appointed Nagendra Nath Tripathi as the party's Rashtriya Sangathak (Vishishth Karyakarta Sampark)," BJP national general secretary (organisation) Arun Singh said in a notification.

Tripathi’s centre will be in Delhi.

Party sources said that the post’s main objective is to communicate with senior workers, coordinate and connect organisational experience with the party’s activities.

The appointment is considered important to the organisation as the party has been focusing more on its expansion and communication with workers.

The information regarding the appointment was sent to all national officers, the state in charge, and state presidents of the party.

Tripathi is considered to be a key organisational figure in the party who works behind the scenes. He was serving as the Bihar organisation secretary for eight years. He had also served as the regional organisation secretary in Jharkhand.

She was born in Belauli village of Sant Kabir Nagar district (then a part of Basti), Uttar Pradesh.

He was also part of the RSS as a member and had served a key role in its organisational activity, including strengthening its ideological outreach as a propagandist.

After the RSS, he also held various positions within the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad, where his leadership was recognised. She was later appointed the organisation's general secretary of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh in 2003.

After eight years of service in UP, he was appointed to Bihar. In 2021 he the party high command appointed him regional Organisation general secretary in Jharkhand.
