The early trends indicate a clear edge for the Congress-led UDF in Kerala Assembly polls. According to a news report, 12 ministers are trailing in the state. Meanwhile, the BJP is leading in five constituencies.
Reportedly, CPI(M)'s Pinarayi Vijayan is trailing in his home turf, Dharmadam. Congress candidate Abdul Rasheed is leading with 733 votes. The Kerala Chief Minister had won the seat comfortably in 2016 and 2021. In the 2021 Assembly polls, Vijayan had won from Dharmadom with a margin of over 45,000 votes.
According to news reports, as of 9:30 am, UDF is leading in 90 seats, LDF in 45 seats and NDA in five seats. Several key LDF sitting MLAs and ministers are trailing in different constituencies.
