In a shocking case of daylight murder, a man was shot dead outside his residence in Greater Noida on Tuesday afternoon.
The entire sequence of events was captured on CCTV, and the footage of which has now been widely shared on social media.
Initial reports said that the incident occurred near the Ecotech-1 police station area when three assailants approached the victim and opened fire at him. The man was struck by multiple bullets.
The shooting triggered panic among nearby residents who recognised the victim as a local.
A woman is seen screaming and backing away in the video as one of the assailants points a gun at her. She later runs towards the victim.
Speaking to ANI, Sudhir Kumar, ADCP, Greater Noida said, "Today, on February 24, 2026, Sachin and his associates opened fire on Nitin, a resident of Luksar village, under the jurisdiction of the Ecotech First police station, due to an old rivalry. Nitin was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police officers are present at the scene. Peace and order have been established. Further legal action is underway."
Authorities are now reviewing the CCTV footage and collecting statements from the eyewitness to determine the motive and the suspects behind the targeted attack.
There has been no confirmation of any arrests so far.
