Who is Kamaruddin? Delhi 'Baba' arrested for triple murder in car, gave victims poisoned laddoos

The Delhi 'baba' who was arrested for the murder of three people inside a car on the Peeragarhi flyover confessed to giving the victims poisoned laddoos

Two days after three people were found dead inside a parked car on Peeragarhi flyover in Delhi, a self-styled baba was arrested in connection with the case.

The accused has been identified as Kamaruddin a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad. Police described the man who has been booked for murder as a “maulana” and an occult practitioner. he ran a tantric centre in loni ghaziabad, HT reported.

Authorities found that the accused allegedly targeted his victims by promising dhanvarsha or “surprise money” through tantric rituals.

He would get close to his victims, influence them mentally and then give them poison-laced ladoos.

After they died, he took their cash and valuables, according to a police statement.

On Sunday police discovered the bodies of two men and a woman inside a white Tigor around 3:50 pm after they were alerted by motorists of a parked car on the highway. The victims were identified as 76-year-old Randhir, Shiv Naresh a 47-year-old property dealer and a woman named Laxmi, 40, who worked as a caregiver.

Investigators were not able to make the connnection betwen Laxmi and the two mean clear. The men were from Baprola village and knew each other whereas Laxmi was found to be a resident of Jahangirpuri. Police said she knew Shiv Naresh.

Along with the bodies, police recovered liquor bottles, cold drinks, empty glasses, mobile phones, cash and other personal belongings.

Kamruddin admitted during police questioning that he prepared the ladoos by mixing them with poison. He also said that he travelled with the victims in the car. He made them consume the liquor and the sweets during the journey.

After they fell unconcious he took cash from the car and fled the scene.
