Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three new Amrit Bharat Express trains during his visit to Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. The visit to the State comes after the BJP had a historic victory in the Thiruvananthapuram corporation.
The PM will flag off the Thiruvananthapuram–Tambaram, Thiruvananthapuram–Hyderabad and Nagercoil–Mangaluru Amrit Bharat trains, along with the Guruvayur Thrissur passenger service.
A slew of central government-approved projects are also to be inaugurated today, including the laying of the foundation for the Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship hub and other infrastructure projects worth Rs 250 crore. Loans and credit cards for one lakh beneficiaries under the Pm Svanidhit scheme will also be announced.
In a post on X, PM Modi said that he was looking forward to addressing the public in Thiruvannathapuram. “In the recent corporation elections, this city made history by blessing us. It is clear that Kerala wants to come out of the fixed match between LDF and UDF, “ he said
The function is to happen at Putharikandamn maidanam. Modi is also set to address a crowd of about 25, 000 people consisting of the public, public representative and party workers at the venue after the inauguration .
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan thanked the Prime Minister for approving the development of the projects in the state.
