Is Muzammil Shakeel married to 'Madam Surgeon' Shaheen Shahid? Terror suspect claimed 'nikah near Al Falah University'

Dr Muzammil Shakeel told the investigators that his "nikah” with Dr Shaheen Shahid was performed at a mosque near Al Falah University in 2025

As more details about the dynamics of the Al Falah University-based terror module emerge, it has been revealed that 'Madam Surgeon' Dr Shaheen Shahid is married to Dr Muzammil Shakeel. Both were key members of the Faridabad module.

Muzammil told the investigators that their "nikah” was performed at a mosque near Al Falah University in 2025, according to sources cited by The Times of India. As per the Shariah law, a mehr of Rs 5,000 to 6,000 was reportedly agreed for the wedding.

Earlier, reports claimed that Shaheen, who was tasked with recruiting in the Jaish-e-Mohammed women wing, was Muzammil's girlfriend.

A team of police from Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana had earlier recovered weapons and explosives from Shaheen's Haryana-registered Swift Dzire, which was in the possession of Muzammil. This led to the duo's arrest just hours before suicide bomber from the module, Dr Umar un Nabi, carried out the Red Fort blast, fearing his own arrest.
