The security agencies are examining the student records and verifying movement logs to track them

The Uttar Pradesh Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have launched an investigation after two Kashmiri PhD scholars from IIT Kanpur went missing suspiciously amid the ongoing probe into the Delhi car blast case.

The institute officials stated that they have no information regarding the students' whereabouts for the last few weeks.

According to reports, one of the students has been missing since October 18, while the second student went missing on November 10, on the day of the blast near Red Fort. Both of them joined IIT Kanpur in 2019 as PhD scholars.

Notably, the Uttar Pradesh government had sought a detailed report on the Kashmiri students residing in the state, in the wake of the blast that killed 13 people and injured over 30 others.
