As per reports, the services have not been suspended completely, and the trains are running as usual, except at Red Fort Metro Station, which has been closed for security reasons.  All other stations are operating normally, though there has been a delay.

“Lal Qila Metro Station is closed due to security reasons. All other stations are functional as normal," tweets Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The blast happened near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station.

The trains on the Chandni Chowk route are running late following the blast. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has not issued an official statement regarding metro services, but passengers are experiencing inconvenience due to the high security alert.

Roads to remain closed

Due to security measures, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in effect on both carriageways and service roads of Netaji Subhash Marg, from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes from 6:00 am until further notice and use alternative roads for a hassle-free journey. No vehicles will be allowed on Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut and vice versa.

There is a tight security in Delhi, with the  DGP stating police were checking vehicles at state borders, as well as all public transport, parking areas, hotels and dharamshalas. All  district magistrates were directed to keep a vigil in districts bordering Delhi.

"High alert across Haryana state in view of #Delhi incident. People are requested to remain calm. If any suspicious person or unclaimed object is seen, inform '112' (emergency helpline)," Haryana Director General of Police O P Singh said in a post in Hindi on X.
