According to NIA, Dr Bilal Naseer Malla of Baramulla was arrested in Delhi on Tuesday. Malla is the eighth arrest to be made in connection with the "white-collar module." Investigators charged "Bilal had knowingly harboured the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, by providing him logistical support." The central probe agency is also accused of destroying evidence related to the terror attack.

"NIA is continuing with its investigation into the conspiracy behind the deadly terror act. The anti-terror agency is working closely with various central and state agencies to unravel all the threads of the conspiracy," it said.

The NIA produced Bilal before a designated court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna. The court remanded him to NIA custody for seven days, PTI reported.

The court on Tuesday also extended the NIA custody of Amir Rashid Ali, another accused in the Red Fort blast case. As many as 15 people died in a deadly blast near the Red Fort in the national capital on November 10. A slow-moving car burst into flames near the busy Red Fort signal on the day.

The blast occurred hours after security forces from Jammu and Kashmir unveiled a terror module spread over three states. Investigators also seized 2,900 kilos of ammonium nitrate and ammunition from Al Falah University in Faridabad during the probe.
