Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have figured in the list of the party’s 40 star campaigners for the Bihar Assembly elections.
The list included senior party leaders Manish Sisodia, Atishi, Sanjay Singh, Sandeep Pathak and Satyendar Jain.
Party’s Delhi president Saurabh Bhardwaj, Punjab president and minister Aman Arora, former Delhi ministers Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain have also been included in the list released on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the AAP released its fourth list of 12 candidates, taking the total number of candidates announced so far to 132. The fourth list included the names of Kumar Kunal in Madhuban constituency, Brij Bhushan (Navin) in Sapaul, and Anil Kumar in Gaya Town.
In Bihar, AAP is not part of any alliance and is contesting the assembly polls independently. The party had parted ways from the Congress-led INDIA bloc in July, shortly after the Delhi election debacle.
Earlier this month, the party had announced that it would field candidates in all 243 constituencies in Bihar. AAP's state in-charge Ajesh Yadav said the party is confident of replicating its governance model from Delhi and Punjab in Bihar.
"We have an approved model of growth and governance. The work done by the Aam Aadmi Party is being discussed across the country. People hailing from the Purvanchal region had contributed immensely to our victory in Delhi," he said.
Bihar goes to the polls in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results set to be declared on November 14.
