Tamil Nadu police have intensified the probe to identify the gang behind the abduction of a four-year-old child from his residence in Vellore's Gudiyatham on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, unidentified miscreants barged into the house of Velu, a software engineer in Bengaluru, in Vellore's Gudiyatham, and kidnapped his four-year-old child. The kidnappers threw red chilli powder over Velu before kidnapping the child. Though Velu tried to hang onto the kidnapper's car and rescue the child, the miscreants managed to get rid of Velu.
According to police, the kidnappers used a car with a Karnataka registration number for the crime, which they suspect could be fake. Six special teams were formed to identify the kidnappers, and checks were intensified in the district's borders to nab the kidnappers. However, a couple of hours later, police managed to rescue the kid in an abandoned state in the outskirts of Vellore.
