Vikramaditya Singh, 35, Himachal Pradesh’s Urban Development Minister, tied the knot with Amreen Kaur Sekhon, a Punjab University professor in Chandigarh, today. This is his second marriage.

There are speculations that the photographs from the private ceremony were 'leaked' by Vikramaditya Singh’s maternal uncle Prithvi Vikram Sen who joined the BJP in 2016.

Vikramaditya is the son of the late chief minister Virbhadra Singh and Himachal Congress president Pratibha Singh. He belongs to the royal family of the princely state of Bushahr in Shimla district. His father, Virbander Simgh, served as CM of the state six times.

Amreen Sekhon is an academic and holds double master’s degrees in English and Psychology and a PhD in Psychology. She has also pursued studies at Harvard. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Punjab University.

She is the daughter of Sardar Jotinder Singh Sekhon and Opinder Kaur.

Vikramaditya was previously married to Sudarshana Chundawat of the Amet royal family of Rajsamand in Mewar, Rajasthan. Chundawat had filed a domestic violence and harassment case in the Udaipur court against Vikramaditya’s family and alleged that he had an affair with Amreen Kaur.

The marriage took place in 2019 and ended with a divorce in November 2024.

Singh is a prominent leader in the Congress party, like his parents. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Singh contested from the Mandi constituency but was defeated by actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut. He got his bachelor's degree in history from Hansraj College, Delhi University, in 2011 and later completed his postgraduate studies in History in 2016.
