The Maharashtra government has made e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries of the Mukhyamanti Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The deadline for the e-KYC process will end in two months.
Mukhyamanti Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was launched on June 28, 2024 to ensure the financial independence of women in Maharashtra. This is expected to help women focus on their health and nutrition as well as strengthen their decisive role in the family, according to the government.
How to complete e-KYC for Ladki Bahin Yojana?
Under Mukhyamanti Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, women aged between 21 to 65 will get Rs 1,500 every month. The Maharashtra government has made the e-KYC facility available on the government portal ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
The Ladki Bahin portal has received 1,12,70,261 applications so far and the government has approved 1,06,69,139 applications, when this report was published.
Who are eligible for Ladki Bahin Yojana?
Women who apply for Mukhyamanti Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana should be a resident of Maharashtra. They should be aged between 21 and 65 and have an Aadhaar-linked bank account. All married, widowed, divorced, abandoned and destitute women can be beneficiaries while only one unmarried woman from a family would be eligible. The beneficiary's family should not have an annual income of more than Rs 2.5 lakh.
If the beneficiary is not able to apply online on their own, she can fill the application form with the help of anganwadi worker, supervisor, head worker, Setu Suvidha Kendra, Gram Sevak, Group Resource Person, Asha worker, ward officer/City Mission Manager, Municipal Balwadi Sevika, Help Desk Head and Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra. They are not required to pay fees for the application.
While applying, the applicant should ensure that the name, date of birth and address is same as per the Aadhaar card. Bank details and phone number should also be accurate.
Besides Aadhaar card, the beneficiary should have a domicile certificate to prove they are from Maharashtra. If not, they can submit ration card acquired at least 15 years ago or a driver's licence acquired at least 15 years ago. They can also submit birth certificate or school leaving certificate.
If the woman is married from another state, they can submit the above documents of their husbands.
