Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Thursday that she would continue to conduct her public grievance hearing programme, Jan Sunwai, and it will be conducted in all assembly constituencies in the national capital.
The Delhi chief minister made the announcement after a person hailing from Gujarat attacked her during a grievance hearing at her official residence on Wednesday. A person identified as Rajesh Sakariya (41) attacked the chief minister, allegedly upset over the Supreme Court's direction to control the stray dog menace in the national capital.
Asserting that she can never stop fighting for the interests of Delhiites, Gupta said, "Every moment of my life and every particle of my body is dedicated to Delhi." She added, "Despite all these unexpected blows, I will never abandon Delhi."
"Now, public hearings will not only be held at my home but also in every assembly of Delhi. Your chief minister, at your doorstep," she said in a post on X in Hindi.
