Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and leaders of INDIA bloc for opposing intensive electoral roll revision in Bihar and asked whether infiltrators should be allowed to vote in elections.
Addressing a public meeting at Bihar's Sitamarhi, Shah questioned the opposition's objection to electoral roll revision in Bihar. Asserting "infiltrators have no right to vote", Shah said, "Names of infiltrators must be removed from the voters' lists. They have no right to vote. But the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress are opposing SIR in Bihar because the names of infiltrators are being deleted from the lists."
The home minister charged that the opposition is objecting to Bihar SIR as infiltrators are their vote bank. "ahul Gandhi is roaming around carrying the Constitution; he should also open it and read it. They are opposing SIR because infiltrators are their vote bank."

Shah charged the Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD did nothing for Bihar's development. "The RJD did nothing for Bihar. Lalu ji (Lalu Parasad Yadav) as central minister, sanctioned ₹1,132 cr for railway infrastructure in Bihar, while our govt provided ₹10,066 crore in FY'26," he claimed.
