Rippling co-founder accuses wife of adultery; ‘Prasanna Shankar a sexual pervert, kidnapped son’, alleges wife Divya

Indian techpreneur and Rippling co-founder Prasanna Shankar has been accused of “sexual perversion” and “kidnap” by his wife Divya Sashidhar, as the former on Sunday accused Divya of infidelity and cheating him in the marriage. Shankar also accused the Chennai police of harassing him siding with Divya.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Shankar announced his troubled divorce proceedings with wife Divya. Shankar said they were married for 10 years and had a nine-year-old son. The techie alleged  Divya was involved in an affair with another person in the US for six months and he came to know about it after the paramour’s wife messaged him.

Shankar alleged while he was negotiating divorce and alimony with Divya, she filed a fake rape complaint against him. “She made further fake complaints that I raped her. That i circulated her nude videos, etc. Singapore police have investigated these allegations, found them baseless and have cleared me from all charges. I filed for a divorce in India. She filed for a divorce in the US, to try and make more money from the divorce,” Shankar alleged on X. Shankar alleged Divya tried to abduct their son to the United States, however, he stopped by approaching courts in the US.

Shankar said while they agreed upon sharing equal custody of the son, Divya, she did not submit son’s passport and instead filed a kidnapping complaint against him.  Shankar also shared videos with his son on X.

However, Divya refuted the allegations and alleged Shankar was a “sexual pervert”. Divya charged Shankar lost his job in the US following his arrest on charges of soliciting prostitution. She alleged Shankar was a “sexual pervert” who filmed his sexual assault on women using secret cameras. She also levelled allegations of sexual harassment against her father-in-law. Divya said the US Embassy and Chennai police are assisting her to locate her son.
