Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav called upon Sysmex Corporation and Panasonic to solicit investments in medical technology and the energy sector in Kobe, Japan. Yadav is in Japan in the run-up to the Investors Summit to be held in the state on February 24 and 25.
At Sysmex Corporation's Solution Center, CM Yadav asked the global leader in diagnostic technology to consider establishing a medical diagnostic equipment manufacturing unit and an R&D centre in the state to promote healthcare innovation, including the use of AI. He assured the company that the state government is committed to fostering long-term partnerships with global leaders like Sysmex.

Yadav highlighted the state’s strong pharmaceutical industry base. It has over 80 pharmaceutical units and exports to 160 countries. Additionally, the Pithampur Special Economic Zone hosts over 275 pharma companies, including six of India’s top ten.
The CM suggested that the Medical Device Park near Ujjain would be an ideal location for Sysmex to set up state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities. The centre could focus on developing advanced medical devices tailored for India, while also providing training for Indian engineers and technicians.
In his meeting with officials from Panasonic Energy, Yadav proposed that the company expand its operations to the setting up units in Pithampur focused on energy storage and sustainable battery manufacturing. Additionally, he recommended establishing a research and development center to foster technological innovation in MP.
Electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing and energy storage sectors were also part of the discussions. Yadav highlighted the state’s industrial policies, which include special financial incentives to encourage investment from companies like Panasonic Energy.
As per a note issued by the government, Panasonic Energy officials shared insights into the company's accomplishments and future plans, while expressing interest in investing in the state. They also said they were confident of receiving the full backing of the state government.
Thursday was the third day of Yadav’s four-day visit to the Asian nation that started with him paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the India Club in Kobe.
