Controversial IAS officer Puja Khedkar, accused of misusing power and privileges during her training, failed to meet the deadline to report for duty in Mussoorie's Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA).
She was scheduled to be at the academy by Tuesday.
According to media reports, Puja Khedkar is out of reach after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) registered a police case against her for availing attempts in the civil services exam by faking identity. The commission had also issued a show cause notice for cancellation of her candidature of the civil services examination-2022 and debarment from future examinations/selections.
UPSC had said its investigation has revealed that Khedkar fraudulently availed attempts beyond the permissible limit under the examination rules by faking her identity by way of changing her name, her father's and mother's name, her photograph/signature, her email ID, mobile number, and address.
The probationary IAS officer is under scrutiny for her claims regarding disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates in her Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) candidature and conduct during her posting at the Pune collector's office.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, a Pune court remanded Puja Khedkar's mother to 14-day judicial custody in a criminal case linked to a land dispute and rejected her bail plea.
Manorama Khedkar was arrested for brandishing a gun and threatening a few farmers over a land dispute in Pune district last year.
