A couple of revolvers and pistols were recovered from Aluva in Ernakulam by the anti-terror squad of the Kerala Police on Monday. According to reports, the weapons were found after the unit raided four houses in Aluva based on a tip-off.
The guns were found at the residence of a man identified as Riyas, Manorama Online said. Apart from the four guns, daggers and Rs nine lakh cash were also found in the house, the report added. The anti-terror squad's raid was assisted by Aluva West Police and the special squad under the Superintendent of Police.
Riyas, who was being watched by the Kerala Police for quite some time now, was picked up for questioning following the raid. He is reportedly a close associate of a local goonda leader.
