West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a minor injury after she lost balance and fell while taking her seat after boarding a helicopter in Durgapur in Paschim Bardhaman district on Saturday.

Visuals of the incident showed the Trinamool Congress chief, who was on her way to Kulti in Asansol Lok Sabha constituency to address an election rally, slipping while trying to sit on her seat.

The chief minister continued her journey after receiving first aid from her security personnel. She later addressed the rally in support of TMC's Asansol candidate Shatrughan Sinha.

Last month, Banerjee was admitted to the hospital after she suffered a “major injury” on her forehead after reportedly falling inside her home.

The Trinamool Congress had shared photos of the chief minister on a hospital bed with a deep cut in the middle of her forehead and blood on her face.
